Limited Upward Mobility
Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 children in Greenville are born into poverty with little chance of escaping it?
Greenville, South Carolina is ranked 94th out of the 100 largest metro areas for upward mobility, and is one of the hardest counties in the nation for a child born into poverty to rise above their circumstances. Thousands of children resigned to a life of suffering, chronic stress, trauma, and persisting feelings of despair due to limited upward mobility.
God wants so much more for Greenville's youth, and so do we.
Our Work
Lead Collective is joining God in His mission to make all things new. Lead serves as the supportive
hub for three ministries in order to multiply their impact in historically under-resourced
communities in Greenville.
These ministries are: GOAT, Éleos Ministry, and Reach.
Each ministry takes a unique approach to address the root causes that contribute to childhood
poverty. Through GOAT, Éleos Ministry, and Reach, we walk with middle and high school students, providing:
- Healing from trauma through consistent, Christ-centered relationships and safe spaces.
- Social capital and positive networks essential for upward mobility.
- Life skills, leadership development, and pathways to opportunity that lead to long-term flourishing.
Our Impact
Our mission is rooted in transformation, expanding hope, and cultivating the seeds of flourishing in our community. We celebrate the progress made each year as a testament to the power of collective investment. By showing up for our youth today, we are ensuring a harvest of impact that will last for generations to come.
