Lead Sneaker Ball

Thank you to everyone who made Lead Collective’s Inaugural Sneaker Ball our largest and most powerful gathering yet! Whether you joined us on the dance floor or supported us as a sponsor from afar, we are overwhelmed by your partnership and generosity toward Greenville's youth.

So many of you reached out asking to dive deeper into the stories, data, and ministry stations featured throughout the night. We created this page so you can explore a handful of the exhibits which share the impact of Lead, GOAT, Éleos, and Reach at your own leisure, share the vision with a friend, revisit the student stories, or catch up on anything you missed while on the dance floor.

If something you see here moves you, inspires a question, or sparks an idea, we would love to connect. Let's grab coffee!  We would be honored to share more about where Lead Collective is headed and how you can be a part of it.

Sneaker Ball Signage

You read the displays. You snapped photos. You called asking to see them again.

We hear you! It was a lot to take in. An eye-opening look at the reality facing under-resourced youth in Greenville, and a deep dive into how Lead, GOAT,  Éleos, and Reach walk alongside them toward flourishing.

Whether you're re-reading a statistic or sharing the vision with a friend, explore all 8 exhibit signs below.

Racially Restrictive Covenants

For decades, Racially Restrictive Covenants across Greenville legally prohibited property owners from selling or renting homes to Black families. By the time these covenants were banned in 1968, generations of Black neighbors had been locked out of the primary engine for building generational wealth: homeownership. Today, the economic ripple effects of these policies still shape our community.

There's Still Time to Give

Whether you missed the chance to give at Sneaker Ball or couldn't join us in person, you can still make a lasting impact. Every dollar goes directly toward walking alongside under-resourced youth in Greenville as they overcome barriers and flourish.

Reflection

Before leaving the exhibits, we asked our guests to pause and answer one simple question: "What is one thing every child deserves?"

The responses poured in with a collective voice of hope, conviction, and commitment for the youth of Greenville. This is what our community had to say.
